Deepak Obhrai was the seven-term Member of Parliament and now three candidates are trying to become members of the Conservative Party nomination in Calgary-Forest Lawn. He was elected in 1997 for the party and also nominated for October 2019 elections. But now some names are coming in front for nomination like Andre Chabot, Ryan Ellis, and Amrit Rai Nannan. As per the update, Conservatives will choose a Calgary-Forest Lawn candidate on August 29th 2021. Recently Raj Dhaliwal has made an announcement to challenge Jagdish Anand for the Liberal Party nomination. About Calgary Skyview Liberal candidate – Raj Dhaliwal

Raj Dhaliwal is a son, brother,husband, father by relations. By profession, Raj is an Engineer as oil and gas professional. He is a dog lover, a good soccer player, a big fan of hockey and a cricket enthusiast.

Basically, by born Raj is an Indian but at a very young age, he was immigrated to Canada along with his parents and younger brother. That time Raj’s family had taken up a decision to settle down in Northeast Calgary. By profession, his father was also an engineer in India and his mother was a hard-working woman who had worked in different job roles to offer a better life to their family.

Raj always loved his friend's company and used to play hockey and cricket at Prairie Winds Park. His first part-time job was at a local Northeast convenience store, in a high school.

He earned a Bachelor degree of Arts in International Relations from the University of Calgary. After that, he also earned a degree in Chemical Engineering from Schulich School of Engineering.

Life in Community –

Raj is spending his life with a lovely family having two children. For the last ten years, he has been working as an engineer in a most reputed oil and gas company. From his childhood, he is engaging in social activities or local communities. He is a daily worshiper and volunteer at the local Sikh temple in Martindale which shows her spiritual aspect. He keeps himself always ready to help people and helped a number of unemployed Youngers to find a good job in Calgary. He likes to work with newbie people as well as seniors and teaches them computers.

Raj was also a member of the board of directors for Northeast Family Connections and supported the development programs of local families and youth. So, all such social activities and practices make him so knowledgeable. He has a great understanding of the challenges that are faced by the families in the Northeast.
